A new report released by SmartAsset.com has named Katy the “best city for retirement in Texas” following an extensive data study. The study, released March 10, evaluates three criteria in the designation. Katy’s title of best in Texas was based on tax burden, access to medical care and opportunity for recreation and social activity. Just to the south in Fort Bend County, Richmond was deemed the fifth-best place to retire.
