HOUSTON (KIAH) — Local law enforcement around the area is enforcing increased patrol to protect the public from drunk drivers over spring break and for St. Patrick’s Day. At this time, the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office and local law enforcement are enforcing a “No Refusal” weekend for the end of Spring Break and St. Patrick’s Day. The initiative means that officers will be looking for intoxicated drivers and drivers impaired by substances. The initiative is funded by a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation.
