Fulshear is the Houston region’s bestselling community, despite high average home prices. Why?

The Fulshear area was a top-selling community in the latter half of 2023 despite higher-than-average home prices, according to data from Houston Association of Realtors. The area spanning Fulshear, Brookshire south of I-10 and Simonton — more than 30 miles west of Houston — had the largest year-over-year jump in home sales in the fourth quarter, with more than double the number recorded in the same period in 2022, according to a Tuesday HAR press release.
