Suspect charged in fatal shooting of woman in Fort Bend County

HOUSTON, Texas — Charges have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a woman at 5203 Ridgestone Lane on Monday afternoon. David Morales-Barrera, 43, is charged with murder in the 434th District Court in Fort Bend County. A booking photo of Morales-Barrera is not available as he remains hospitalized, according to a press release from the Houston Police Department (HPD). The identity of the 44-year-old victim is pending verification by the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office.
