Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels celebrates 50th anniversary

The nonprofit has served more than 7 million meals since its inception. A major Fort Bend nonprofit is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The county commissioners court established the Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels program in 1974. The organization also began serving Waller County in 1990. Doug Simpson is the executive director.
