Hurricane Beryl leaves its mark on Sugar Land Town Square

SUGAR LAND, Texas — Hurricane Beryl left its mark on Sugar Land Monday morning as it moved through Fort Bend County. The Category 1 storm brought 80 mph maximum sustained winds to the area as it made landfall. Just after 7 a.m., the storm appeared to damage the roof of City Hall at the Sugar Land Town Square on City Walk near Highway 6 and the Southwest Freeway.
