Several utility poles were either snapped or toppled on a road outside Orchard in Fort Bend County, Texas, after Tropical Storm Beryl brought strong winds and heavy rain to the wider Houston area on Monday, July 8. Footage from storm chaser Chad Casey shows at least 11 damaged power poles along a stretch of Highway 36. Fort Bend County officials had warned of tropical-storm-force winds posing a threat to the area as Beryl swirled toward southeast Texas overnight. By Monday morning, multiple roads were impassable due to flooding along with downed power lines and trees, they said. Credit: Chad Casey via Storyful.
