Today marks the third Juneteenth in U.S. history, a national holiday that began after the police killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in 2021. In line with Juneteenth’s mission and ethos, construction broke ground on a new memorial in Texas this afternoon that honors the way in which African Americans built Fort Bend County, and so much more.
