Several Juneteenth events canceled or postponed due to weather concerns

HOUSTON — With the threat of heavy rain and the risk of flooding in Southeast Texas, some communities are canceling or postponing Juneteenth events planned for Wednesday. A weak tropical system is expected to develop in the Bay of Campeche by Tuesday. While landfall won’t happen near Houston, the system is expected to dump heavy rain across the area on Tuesday and Wednesday.
