Richmond man charged with animal cruelty for allegedly fatally injuring wife’s dog

Authorities arrested a 31-year-old Richmond man for allegedly injuring a dog during an argument with his wife. Officials with Fort Bend County Precinct 1 say Pengfei Ji was arguing Friday with his wife when he went after her teacup pomeranian. He grabbed the dog by the hind legs and started swinging the pet around and even hitting it against a dog house, according to a video reviewed by authorities during the investigation.
