The Texas Education Agency has notified the Fort Bend ISD that it is investigating two separate complaints, according to a statement the district sent out Thursday afternoon. The first complaint is that the district under former Superintendent Christie Whitbeck “unlawfully incentivized students and staff to vote in last year’s 2023 VATRE election and engaged in electioneering.” The second complaint, made by former Trustee Kristen Davison Malone, is that other members of the board ‘violated the Texas Open Meetings Act when making employment decisions regarding (Whitbeck).”
