Man sentenced to 30 years in prison for shooting, pistol whipping wife

HOUSTON (KIAH) – A Fort Bend County man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after shooting his wife multiple times according to the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors said Kenric Henry shot his wife and pistol whipped her while she was on the phone with her mother in December 2021. Henry attempted to shoot her in the face, but the gun jammed. The district attorney said as Henry went to reload his gun, he told his 16-year-old stepson: “Were all going to die here”. The son ran and called 911. They were able to arrive on scene and brought the woman and her son to safety. Henry pleaded guilty aggravated assault of a family member with a weapon.
