Overcrowded Fort Bend animal shelter helps more than 15 dogs stay warm as “freeze fosters”

At least 17 dogs found temporary homes Saturday after a Fort Bend animal shelter held an initiative for families to take in “freeze fosters.” The shelter has limited indoor space for its animals due to overcrowding and advertised the opportunity for families to foster dogs and keep them warm before temperatures are expected to drop below freezing in Houston Monday and Tuesday.
