More law enforcement officers in Texas have been shot in the line of duty than in any other state

TEXAS – Data from 2023 reports show that more law enforcement officers have been shot in the line of duty in Texas than in any other state. According to numbers released by the National Fraternal Order of Police, 35 law enforcement officers have been shot while on the job in Texas, and four of them have died from their injuries in 2023.
