MOBILITY ENHANCEMENTS ALONG WESTPARK CORRIDOR PLANNED UNDER REGIONAL PARTNERSHIP

(Houston, Texas – December 14, 2023) More than 16 miles of multi-modal mobility enhancements are planned for the Westpark Tollway Corridor under a new partnership between the City of Houston, Harris County, Fort Bend County, and the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO), officials announced Thursday afternoon. The partnership was formalized during a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony in downtown Houston. Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George, and Metro Board Chair Sanjay Ramabhadran are all signatories on the agreement.
