Texas ranch with Houston ties sells after nearly 150 years in Tigner family

A historic ranch just outside Houston recently sold after almost 150 years in the Tigner family. In Fort Bend County, just south of Sienna and about a 30-minute drive from downtown Houston, the Tigner Ranch consists of 657 acres. It was listed at $13,517 per acre, or $8.8 million. The land had been considered a unique investment opportunity, according to Ruple Properties. It sits near housing developments north and east of it and adjoins thousands of acres of undeveloped land to the south and west.
