Heavy storms move across the Houston area; flood threat expected through Friday

HOUSTON – Heavy thunderstorms were moving across the Houston area Wednesday and the wet weather was expected to last over the next several days. The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for north central Fort Bend County and northwestern Harris County until 7 p.m. That has since expired. In Fort Bend, half-dollar size hail was reported near Cinco Ranch.
