For more than a decade, Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Sugar Land has been referred to as “the pumpkin church,” according to pastor Scott Thompson. Next month, the church finally gets to bring back its most popular event that precipitated the moniker following a two-year hiatus because of the pandemic. Oct. 15 will mark the return of the church’s annual pumpkin patch event, which is being held for the first time since 2019.
