As businesses continue to recover from the early onset of COVID-19 restrictions, the city of Katy has continued to bring in robust sales tax receipts. According to the Texas Comptroller’s Office, for the month of December the city of Katy was in line to receive $1.37 million as part of its portion of state sales taxes. In December 2020, the city received 1.1 million. The total reflects a 24.7 percent year-over-year increase.
